About the 2020 Online International Football for Friendship Forum

The International Football for Friendship Forum is held within the Football for Friendship (F4F) programme which is supported by FIFA, UEFA, International Olympic Committee, football federations of different countries, children's charitable foundations, famous athletes, and the world's leading football clubs.

Over the previous seven seasons, the programme has united over 6 000 participants and over 5 000 000 supporters, including famous athletes, artists, and politicians. The programme has 47 national and international awards, including the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the Most nationalities in a football training session in history.

The International Football for Friendship Forum is a platform for structured and constructive dialogue between football stakeholders, policymakers, and representatives of political institutions.

International football experts and Global F4F Ambassadors will announce the International Football for Friendship Award laureates and the Online F4F World Championship finalists at the Grand F4F Final.

About the International Football for Friendship Award:

Within the Gazprom International Children's Social Programme Football for Friendship, a unique International Football for Friendship Award was established with the aim of identifying all possible online ideas for sports training, training young football players, cooperation in the field of children's football and promoting these ideas globally.

Dates and rounds:

Round I (TILL OCTOBER 31, 2020)Receiving applications. The Expert Council will independently evaluate the initial submission received for each entry.
Round II (OCTOBER 31 − NOVEMBER 30, 2020)Forming a short list of nominees for the International F4F Award. Shortlisted entrants will be informed and may be asked to submit additional materials.
Round III (NOVEMBER 30 − DECEMBER 4, 2020) Public presentation of the projects within the 2020 Online International Football for Friendship Forum via videoconference.
Round IV (DECEMBER 4 − 9, 2020) Selection of laureates.
Round V (DECEMBER 9, 2020)Announcing winners, awarding ceremony.

Goals of the International Football for Friendship Award:

  • Attracting attention to the problems of children's football development in the context of global digitalization.
  • Identifying specific ideas and products in the field of digital technologies aimed at promoting the development of children's football and social initiatives in this area.
  • Forming a community of people interested in developing children's football and promoting social initiatives in this area.

General terms and conditions:

  • The award applicants may be the heads / authorized representatives of football academies.
  • Materials of the submitted projects can be used by the Organizing Committee of the International Football for Friendship Award for educational and other non-commercial purposes.
  • Possible formats of the proposed projects: online training programs, online events and challenges, psychological testing systems, game modules, interaction systems and other forms that use digital technology and can be applied in the development of children's football and social football initiatives.
  • Each project should be aimed at promoting the Nine Values of the International Children's Social Programme Football for Friendship: friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions, and honour.
